Philosophy & Training

Philosophy

My teaching style is based on what I’ve learned from all my teachers, and from my own Yoga practice. Yoga is for overall wellbeing; mind, body & soul.

What can you expect from my classes?

A serious approach to Yoga, that doesn’t feel all that serious. Working with breath, body, and mind, in a conscious manner.

My Yoga Adventure

Something inside just clicked

It all started with a single Yoga class. I wasn’t even particularly “good” at Yoga in that first class, but something inside just clicked. Before I realized I liked Yoga, I felt a love for it. Since then, it’s been over a decade of personal practice, trainings, workshops, you name it. I didn’t know how, but I knew I wanted to help others through Yoga.

Fast forward with hundreds of hours worth of certifications, hundreds of hours of shadowing my mentor, thousands of classes taught, in person, virtual, one-on-one, workshops, trainings, you name it. What an adventure it's been!

I’m a very fortunate guy

I have taught students from young children wanting to play, to college students learning mindfulness for mental health, to seniors building strength and resilience. I have had the privilege of teaching in dozens of studios and studying all over the world.

What I noticed over these years is that what works for one person, may not work for someone else. That was an important realization. It led me on a journey to diversify my knowledge of Yoga techniques. I have studied everything from the most gentle approaches to the most intense and everything in-between.

I am so grateful

It’s been a lovely adventure. I am so grateful for all that I’ve learned and for the fact that I get to work with people each day that I can help - even if it’s little by little, as Yoga usually goes.

I hope to work with you too 😀!
